About Mehdi Kaviany Cheraty
Senior Electronics Architect & Metering Inventor
Over the past decade, Mehdi Kaviany Cheraty has guided mission-critical electronics from early breadboard concepts to high-volume assembly lines. His background centers on dense multi-layer PCB layouts, controlled impedance routing, and tight thermal management for medical systems, vehicle electronics, and utility meters. In the lab, he focuses on signal integrity, power distribution, and passing tough EMC/EMI compliance chamber tests on the first board rev.
Patented Inventions & Scientific Laurels:
Mehdi is the sole inventor and full intellectual property owner of Granted Patent No. 114282 (issued August 8, 2026 / 1405-05-17 by the Industrial Property General Office), registered for a "Smart Ultrasonic Gas Meter with a Mechanism for Detecting and Measuring Natural Gas and Hydrogen Composition". The core invention solves a central roadblock in the hydrogen transition: calculating variable gas blends on the fly without hardware recalibration. An international filing under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) is currently under prosecution through WIPO, backed by the Intellectual Property Management Center of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
He holds an official Engineering Manager assessment outcome from the Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML), Australia. His hardware engineering achievements earned First Place in the Khwarizmi International Youth Award, First Place in the AUTCUP International Robotics Championship (Amirkabir University of Technology Demining League), along with multiple top rankings in national robotics challenges.
Key Project Milestones & Industry Work:
- Dialysis machines at Arya Teb Firouz run on a controller board and FreeRTOS tasks he laid out. Strict galvanic isolation safeguards patients, while hardware timers run the fluid valves.
- At Negar Khodro, he built vehicle power stages that survive brutal ISO 7637-2 load dumps. His firmware runs diagnostics over CAN bus and OBD-II networks without dropping packets.
- Over at Zeitoon Smart Algorithm, he engineered modular DIN-rail relay banks and smart touch switches compatible with the European KNX building automation standard.
- He also deployed remote telemetry boxes across 25 commercial CNG filling stations and built solar-powered river level gauges for Caspian Telecommunications.
Now at T.S.P. Co., Mehdi oversees design work on the Series-U meter line (the U4 residential, U6 Pro, and U10 commercial). He walks every design from prototype flow benches directly into factory production.
