Series-U Product Lineup

Series-U meters run on static ultrasonic transit-time metrology, replacing mechanical diaphragms that wear out over time. Built around Granted Patent No. 114282 and our pending PCT application, each meter directly tracks sound velocity changes to measure pure methane, biomethane, or blends containing up to 100% hydrogen without bench recalibration.

Series-U4 Residential Gas Meter
Series-U4 Residential
$175

We built the U4 for utility teams rolling out volume-scale city upgrades. Instead of rubber diaphragms that stretch and stick, two ultrasonic transducers pulse sound waves against and with the gas flow. The meter measures the delta-t delay with zero moving parts, staying dead accurate for fifteen years. It handles straight pipeline methane or hydrogen mixes up to 100% without swapping sensors or resetting zero points on a test bench.

Hardware & Metrology Specifications:
  • Qmax 6 m³/h peak residential flow
  • Ready for 0–100% hydrogen blends under Granted Patent No. 114282 without field recalibration
  • Dual NB-IoT and LoRaWAN wireless modules, covering B5, B8, B20, and B28 bands
  • Beats NMI R 137 Class 1.5 metrology accuracy limits across all seasonal temperatures
  • Single lithium thionyl chloride battery cell designed for a 15-year field deployment
  • Onboard seismic vibration sensor cuts flow instantly during earthquakes or pipe breaks

Series-U10 Commercial Gas Meter
Series-U10 Commercial
$850

Built for boiler rooms, chemical facilities, and industrial branches, the U10 relies on a thick die-cast aluminum shell rated to IP67. Heavy vibration, rain, and outdoor dirt do not disrupt measurement. The onboard microcontroller continuously logs hourly flow histories into non-volatile memory for twelve straight months. Utility teams extract numbers remotely using cellular SIM cards or wire the meter into local SCADA setups using galvanic RS-485 Modbus terminals.

Technical Parameters:
  • Flow capacity spans 16 to 25 m³/h across factory pipe sizes
  • Solid aluminum shell provides IP67 protection against moisture and spray
  • Stores 12 full months of hourly flow and pressure timestamps
  • Output connections offer optocoupled pulse lines and RS-485 Modbus RTU
  • Working pressure reaches 0.5 bar with hydrostatic testing up to 1.5 bar
  • Integrates with our optional Grid-Eye dashboard for wide-area analysis

Acoustic Transit-Time Sensing

The Series-U meter family operates on high-precision ultrasonic time-of-flight physics rather than moving levers or synthetic diaphragms. Developed by Tose'e Sanat Pouyagaran Ra'ad Danesh (T.S.P. Co.), two piezoelectric transducers ping sound waves upstream and downstream inside the chamber to clock gas velocity directly.

Utility operators collect flow metrics without truck rolls by tapping into the meter's cellular NB-IoT or LoRaWAN (Class A/C) radios, which wake once a day to transmit encrypted data before returning to low-power standby.

Series-U Animated Overview

Precision Assembly & Flow-Bench Calibration

Boards come off surface-mount assembly lines directly into clean testing bays. On the test bench, technicians run nitrogen, natural gas, and pure hydrogen through sonic reference nozzles to map the sensor response curve.

We burn correction tables directly into flash registers before sealing the enclosure. That step locks in metrology accuracy to OIML R137 Class 1.5 standards across winter and summer conditions.

Field Installations & Apartment Manifolds

Because T.S.P. Series-U meters do not use oversized bellows or rotating pistons, installers fit them into tight vertical stacks in basement utility rooms. That compact footprint speeds up retrofits in older apartment buildings.

The built-in radios take care of daily index reporting automatically. Operations teams monitor incoming volume figures, check battery voltage, and spot backflow issues remotely without dispatching field crews to knock on tenant doors.
