Pioneering the Future of Smart Hydrogen Metering
Architecting next-generation solid-state ultrasonic gas meters natively calibrated for 0–100% Hydrogen blends and natural gas without field recalibration.
Hydrogen Blending
Acoustic sensors track sound speed variations, metering blends from pure methane up to 100% hydrogen under Granted Patent No. 114282.
Wireless Reporting
Onboard cellular modems transmit daily billing data under hardware AES-128 encryption.
Transit-Time Sensing
Paired acoustic transducers clock nanosecond delays in gas flow, staying within OIML Class 1.5 limits.
Core Engineering Competencies
We focus on four engineering disciplines when building utility hardware:
Intrinsic Safety & Board Layout
- Boards are routed in Altium to satisfy IECEx Zone 0/1 and ATEX Group IIC rules, isolating battery power so no trace can create an ignition spark.
Acoustic Metrology
- Two ultrasonic sensors measure flow delay in both directions. Firmware matches sound speed with AGA8 thermodynamic tables, reading true volume whether the pipe carries natural gas or pure hydrogen.
On-Device Compute
- A 32-bit processor tracks megajoule energy consumption directly and trips the valve if pipes shake or lose pressure.
Utility Communications
- Wireless modems send morning index numbers over cellular channels, so staff never have to read meters manually.
About T.S.P. Co. & Leadership
Senior Electronics Architect & Metering Inventor
T.S.P. Co. builds metering instruments for gas networks preparing for hydrogen injection. Founded by Mehdi Kaviany Cheraty, the firm connects laboratory physics directly to mass manufacturing.
Engineering Leadership: Mehdi holds an official Engineering Manager skill assessment from IML Australia. He is the sole owner and inventor of Granted Patent No. 114282, which solves how to meter variable hydrogen mixtures in natural gas lines without recalibration. His international application is moving through WIPO under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Earlier in his career, he earned First Place in the Khwarizmi Youth Award for electronics engineering, alongside top prizes at the AUTCUP robotics championship.
The Series-U Meter Family: Older diaphragm meters struggle when hydrogen enters the pipeline because lighter gas molecules change flow physics and thermal density. Our Series-U platform uses solid-state ultrasonic sensors, onboard AGA8 calorific calculators, and encrypted NB-IoT or LoRaWAN telemetry. Utilities get accurate energy billing and safety valve shutoffs without replacing their pipeline infrastructure.
Series-U Industrial Lineup
Next-generation solid-state ultrasonic gas metering ecosystem engineered for smart grid distribution and hydrogen economies.
We built the U4 for utility teams rolling out volume-scale city upgrades. Instead of rubber diaphragms that stretch and stick, two ultrasonic transducers pulse sound waves against and with the gas flow. The meter measures the delta-t delay with zero moving parts, staying dead accurate for fifteen years. It handles straight pipeline methane or hydrogen mixes up to 100% without swapping sensors or resetting zero points on a test bench.
- Qmax 6 m³/h peak residential flow
- Ready for 0–100% hydrogen blends under Granted Patent No. 114282 without field recalibration
- Dual NB-IoT and LoRaWAN wireless modules, covering B5, B8, B20, and B28 bands
- Beats NMI R 137 Class 1.5 metrology accuracy limits across all seasonal temperatures
- Single lithium thionyl chloride battery cell designed for a 15-year field deployment
- Onboard seismic vibration sensor cuts flow instantly during earthquakes or pipe breaks
Designed for commercial kitchens, multi-unit buildings, and workshops, the U6 Pro brings heavier throughput together with on-meter compute power. Because hydrogen blending shifts the heat output of fuel gas, billing by volume alone leads to lost revenue or customer disputes. Our onboard processor solves that: it runs AGA8 and GERG thermodynamic equations in real time, computing exact megajoules right at the pipe so utilities bill true consumed thermal energy.
- Handles high flows up to Qmax 10 m³/h
- Onboard AGA8 math yields direct calorific value in megajoules
- Polycarbonate case resists open flames and harsh sunlight
- Enclosure micro-switches flag unauthorized opening, secured with AES-128 keys
- Drop-in compatibility with 150mm and 250mm pipe spacings
- Rated for hazardous environments under IECEx Zone 1 and ATEX
An industrial-grade metrology workhorse for boiler rooms, district loops, and light industrial processing. The U10 pairs hardened fluid acoustics with deep diagnostic logging so operators trace pressure drops, transient flow spikes, and valve status in fine detail. Everything sits inside a heavy cast-aluminum shell protected to IP67, keeping telemetry circuits running in washdown environments or flooded valve pits.
- Qmax 16–25 m³/h high-volume metering
- IP67 cast aluminum enclosure stands up to corrosive industrial sites
- 12-month local ring buffer keeps hourly logs intact during cell outages
- Interfaces: RS-485 Modbus, pulse output, plus remote NB-IoT
- Withstands working pressure up to 0.5 bar, factory tested to 1.5 bar
- Telemetry feeds directly to BMS or cloud dashboards
